Public Notice of Funding to Barmedman Community Centre Inc.
In accordance with Section 356 of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), Bland Shire Council gives notice of its intention to provide financial assistance to a community organisation as part of its ongoing support for local initiatives that promote community wellbeing, cultural development, and social inclusion.
Recipient Organisation: Barmedman Community Centre Inc.
Purpose of Grant: The purpose of the allocation is to assist the Committee to undertake certain maintenance of the amenity of Barmedman Village and, in particular, the specific facilities of the Barmedman Recreation Ground (BRG) and the Barmedman Courthouse (BC).
Amount Awarded: $7,179.01 plus an annual allocation of $5,000.
This assistance has been determined to be in the public interest and aligns with the community strategic objectives set out in the Bland Shire Community Strategic Plan_Building a Sustainable Community_Empowering People, Promoting Fairness, and Achieving Progress.
Pursuant to Section 356(2) of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), where financial assistance is proposed to be granted otherwise than in accordance with an approved fee reduction policy, Council is required to give at least 28 days’ public notice of its intention to do so. Submissions regarding this proposal may be made in writing to the General Manager at the address below by 5pm, Thursday 29 May.
