Bland Shire Council is looking for a qualified consultant to help update the Bland Local Environmental Plan (BLEP). The consultant will review the current BLEP and create a new one that follows the Standard Instrument (Local Environmental Plans) Order 2006. The new plan will assess the environmental, social, and economic impacts on the area and plan for future infrastructure and services. The consultant will also include the Main Street revitalisation project and prepare all the necessary documents for Council to submit the Planning Proposal to the Department for Gateway determination, public exhibition, and finalisation.
The consultant must show that their proposal meets the requirements of the NSW Local Environmental Plan Making Guidelines (August 2023). The proposal should also align with the NSW strategic planning goals, including housing, industry, and employment. The selected consultant will be responsible for preparing all the planning documents, ensuring the BLEP supports sustainable development and meets the community’s needs while following all regulations.
